The collection is materials on Quentin Hulse collected by Nancy Coggeshall for research for the book on Quentin Hulse, titled "Gila Country Legend: the Life and Times of Quentin Hulse. Biography

Quentin Hulse was born April 30, 1926 in Miami, Gila County, Arizona. He died April 2, 2002 in Reserve, Catron County, New Mexico. He was a rancher, owner of the Canyon Creek Ranch in Catron County, NM on the edge of the Gila Wilderness. He led hunting pack trips and was known as "the last of the mountain men."
