Biographical Information

Merrill E. Stacy (1911-1966) was president and general manager of The New Mexican and other newspapers owned by Robert McKinney. He moved to New Mexico in 1920 from New York state. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico. After serving in the U. S. Army Field Artillery during World War II, he joined Santa Fe Builders where he worked for 28 years. He joined The New Mexican in 1964. He was a member of Santa Fe Rotary Club, Santa Fe United Fund, the Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Vincent Hospital Advisory Board.
