Scope and Content
This collection contains material on New Mexico film festivals, the activities of the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries and the New Mexico Film Office, and miscellaneous motion picture activity in New Mexico. The records are divided into four series.
Center for Contemporary Arts: This series contains material on the ongoing film program and festivals of the Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA), also known as Plan B Evolving Arts and CCA Cinemateque
New Mexico Film Festivals: This series contains material on festivals such as the Santa Fe Film Festival, Taos Talking Pictures Festival and Telluride Film Festival in Santa Fe. There are official programs, movie descriptions, call for entries, clippings, festival schedules and press kits.
New Mexico Film Office and the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries: This series includes meeting agendas, minutes and related material from the Film Advisory Board and the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries, 2003-2007.
New Mexico and Film – Miscellaneous: This series contains news clippings, press information on films shot in the state and items relating to the promotion of the motion picture industry in the state.

Institutional History
This collection was donated by Jon Bowman, a member of the New Mexico Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries and a driving force behind the Santa Fe Film Festival. Mr. Bowman is the editor of New Mexico Magazine and is a movie critic for The Santa Fe New Mexican.
