Biography
Fabian Chavez, Sr. was born in Watrous, New Mexico in 1879. A resident of Wagon Mound, New Mexico, he was a carpenter and a member of the Santa Clara Catholic Church, in which he served as church secretary. He was the father of Angélico Chávez.
