Biographical Note

Mary Pratt Cable was born in Cleveland, OH, and brought up in Providence, R.I. After a number of years in New York and abroad, she moved to Santa Fe, N.M. She often published in the New Yorker, and later worked for Harper's Bazaar. She has written books on aspect of American social history, including Tell Me the Truth About Love, a work of fiction set in Santa Fe, N.M.
