Scope and Content
Collection contains corporate records of the Santa Fe New Mexican from the 1940s, just prior to its sale to Robert McKinney in 1949, including correspondence, advertisments, financial records and photographic negatives of pareade events, as well as a general ledger from 1918-1919. Collection also includes documents from KTRC Radio Station, owned by the New Mexico Publishing Company, the parent company to the New Mexican.

Institutional History
The Santa Fe New Mexican is the oldest newspaper continously published in the Southwest. Its first issue was four pages, tabloid size, in Spanish and English, published 24 November 1849. The newspaper changed hands many times, the name varied slightly, and is currently owned by Robin McKinney Martin..
