Correspondence concerning the following topics: the School of American Archaeology; the Museum of New Mexico; the Archaeological Institute of America; Spanish colonial architecture; archaeological excavations in New Mexico; and various other archaeological and professional matters. Includes correspondence with Mitchell Carroll, Jesse L. Nusbaum, Frederick Webb Hodge, William P. Wilson of the Commercial Museum in Philadelphia, Earl Halstead Morris, Thomas T. Waterman, Alfred Vincent Kidder, John R. McFie, Barbara Freire-Marreco, and John Peabody Harrington. Also includes correspondence with the U.S. Departments of Interior and Agriculture concerning permits for archaeological excavations at the sites of Otowi and Puye Cliff Dwellings in New Mexico.
