Correspondence concerning the following topics: the School of American Research; the Museum of New Mexico; the Archaeological Institute of America; art exhibitions; the Taos Society of Artists; New Mexico Normal University; World War I; New Mexico's State Board of Historical Service; Jemez National Forest; and the proposed Pajarito National Park. Includes correspondence with James C. Egbert, Manuel Gamio, Percy Jackson, Sheldon Parsons, Juan B. Gonzales of San Ildefonso Pueblo/P'o Woe-geh Owingeh, Santiago Naranjo of Santa Clara Pueblo/Kha'p'o Owingeh, and others. Also includes a catalog for the "Fifth Annual Exhibit of the Taos Society of Artists" at the Museum of New Mexico in 1919, as well as a permit from the Department of the Interior authorizing the School of American Research to conduct archaeological work at Gran Quivira National Monument from June 1919-1922.
