From the Sub-Series: Letters written to Gustave Baumann from personal friends, fellow artists, and private customers, as well as a small selection of drafts of letters written by Baumann in response. Also includes postcards and Baumann’s receipts for contributions to European aid organizations following World War II. Notable correspondents include: Walter Ufer; Fritz Endell; Laura Gilpin; John D. Rockefeller, Jr.; Dard Hunter; Witter Bynner; Mary Austin; Haniel Long; L.O. Griffith; Howard Cook; Florence Dibell Bartlett; Edgar L. Hewett; J.J. Lankes; Kenneth Adams; Ernest L. Blumenschein; John Gaw Meem; Kenneth Chapman; Amelia Elizabeth White; and many others. Any letters addressed to Jane Henderson Baumann regarding print sales or that were enclosed with letters to Gustave Baumann have been kept with Gustave Baumann’s personal correspondence.
