Scope and Content

From the Collection: Collection consists of a broad range of materials relating to the activities of the Museum of New Mexico in the 20th century with the bulk of the material being from the latter half. Included are plans, reports, finances, projects and correspondence involving the Museum of New Mexico, the School of American Research, National Park Service, and other state and national organizations.

Among the many topics are the Florentine Codex, Navajo Reservoir Excavation Project, 75th Anniversary of MNM, Coronado Cuarto Centennial, and various state and federal parks and monuments such as Chaco Canyon, Coronado, Pecos, and Jemez. Internal and external correspondence of various MNM staff members (Wayne Mauzy, Bruce Ellis, Arthur J. O. Anderson, Thomas A. Livesay) are also included. Part of the collection contains the minutes and related correspondence of the MNM Board of Trustees from 1913 -1989.
