From the Collection:
This collection consists of Kiwanis Club papers from the 1920's through 2001. The papers detail membership, weekly meetings, and club finances, as well as club activities such as luncheons, club-sponsored social events, and regional and international conferences. The collection contains many papers related to the burning of Zozobra and the Santa Fe Fiesta, as well as a VHS copy of the 2001 documentary about Zozobra. In addition, the collection chronicles key Kiwanis programs such as the Santa Fe Youth Day and the Kiwanis scholarship program for college-bound seniors.
The collection houses many newspaper clippings. As well as several member-made personal club scrapbooks, the collection contains copies of the Zozobra scrapbook made for the Library of Congress Local Legacies Bicentennial Project in 2000.
