Scope and Content

From the Collection: This collection contains Spanish and English song books and manuscript sheet music related to the Southwest, Mexico, New Mexico, and Santa Fe. The music consists of folk songs, ballads, popular mariachi music, traditional fiesta music, cowboy songs, traditional Native American tribal music, and others. The collection includes general piano music once owned by Charlotte Ilfeld, Alice K. Plimpton, Mary R. Van Stone, Elizabeth Willis DeHuff, and Lucile and Loraine Ridout.
