Correspondence, financial records, and papers concerning expeditions and exhibits for the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego, California. Topics include: plans for archaeological and anthropological exhibits; cooperative work with the Smithsonian Institution; Aleš Hrdlička's international expeditions for anthropological materials; Sylvanus Griswold Morley and Jesse L. Nusbaum's expedition to the Yucatan; expense reports and receipts; and plans for artwork and murals at the Exposition. Includes correspondence with William Henry Holmes, Aleš Hrdlička, Charles D. Walcott, David C. Collier, John Peabody Harrington, Carlos Vierra, and Jean Beman Cook-Smith. Also includes correspondence concerning human remains taken from different countries by Hrdlička and other representatives of the Smithsonian for the Exposition.
