The correspondence largely covers the period of 1909-1913, with two letters from 1921 and 1922. Includes correspondence covering Chapman's work with photographs, illustrations, and paintings, as well as various museum and archaeological matters such as exchanges of human remains and pottery between the Museum of New Mexico and the Smithsonian Institution.
