Includes correspondence with Mamie Ruth Tanquist, Anna Osler Shepard, Albert Ernest Jenks, Frances Emma Watkins, Wesley Bradfield, Paul A. F. Walter, Odd S. Halseth, William Alanson Bryan, Hartley Burr Alexander, Edward L. Hardy, Amado Chaves, Richard Charles Dillon, James Fulton Zimmerman, Alice Lee, Rollin Harvelle Tanner, Lansing B. Bloom, and others. Also includes the following: correspondence concerning plans by SAR and UNM to acquire ownership of several historic and archaeological sites in New Mexico; correspondence with Mamie Ruth Tanquist concerning her hiring as a professor in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of New Mexico; and correspondence, financial records, lists of students, and various papers concerning the 1928 summer field school.
