Correspondence concerning three main topics: the establishment of the Santa Fe Society of the Archaeological Institute of America; the summer field school of the School of American Archaeology focusing on the Pajarito Plateau, Puye Cliff Dwellings, and Rito de los Frijoles Canyon; and the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego, California. Includes correspondence with Paul A. F. Walter, Alice C. Fletcher, William Templeton Johnson, Waldo C. Twitchell, F. A. Wadleigh, Ralph Emerson Twitchell, and others. Also included are reports on the New Mexico building at the Panama-California Exposition; a letter from Santiago Naranjo, Governor of Santa Clara Pueblo/Kha'p'o Owingeh; and correspondence concerning El Palacio magazine.
