Correspondence concerning the following topics: the School of American Archaeology and its summer field school; the Museum of New Mexico; archaeological work at the site of Quiriguá in Guatemala; the archaeological site of Gran Quivira in New Mexico; plans for the Nineteenth International Congress of Americanists held in Washington, D.C. in 1914; preparations for the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego, California; and various personal and professional matters. Includes correspondence with Paul A. F. Walter, William Henry Holmes, Z. X. Snyder, Neil Merton Judd, Earl Halstead Morris, Barbara Freire-Marreco, Aleš Hrdlička, and others. Also includes a letter from Fanny Bandelier concerning the death of her husband, Adolph F. Bandelier, while in Seville, Spain.
