Papers and correspondence concerning the following topics: the School of American Archaeology; the Museum of New Mexico; the Archaeological Institute of America; the Bureau of American Ethnology; the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego, California; and archaeological work at the site of Quiriguá in Guatemala. Includes correspondence with Frederick Webb Hodge, Jesse L. Nusbaum, Earl Halstead Morris, Richard W. Corwin, Ralph Emerson Twitchell, and Barbara Freire-Marreco, as well as representatives of the United Fruit Company. Also includes a copy of "Two Seasons' Work in Guatemala" by Edgar L. Hewett, which contains descriptions and photographs of the archaeological excavations at Quiriguá.
