Correspondence concerning the following topics: the proposal to locate the School of American Archaeology in the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe; Mesa Verde National Park; the Archaeological Institute of America; the Antiquities Act of 1906, and archaeological work in the Southwestern United States. Includes correspondence with Lucy E. Peabody, Thomas D. Seymour, Charles P. Bowditch, John R. McFie, Atherton Noyes, George Grant MacCurdy, Z. X. Snyder, Herbert J. Hagerman, and others. Also includes a "List of Applications for Permits Received by the Department of the Interior Under the Provisions of the Act of June 8, 1906, for Preservation of American Antiquities" in 1907.
