Scope and Contents
From the Series:
[Tsianina Blackstone (Evans), who became a world-renowned opera singer, touring the country with Charles Wakefield Cadman, composer, carried on an extensive correspondence with Jennie M. Avery, during the course of which she disclosed her friendship with Edgar L. Hewett since 1915. The correspondence related in part to the five years during which, following Dr. Hewett's death, she took his widow, Donizetta Hewett, into her home and cared for her until the death of Mrs. Hewett, in 1960. It also deals with her earlier establishment of the Foundation for American Indian Education.
