Scope and Content
New Mexico Highlands University, originally established as New Mexico Normal School, began operation in 1893. This collection contains the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Regents of the institution since that year, plus related material. All the records are arranged chronologically.

Scope and Content
This collection contains very early and some recent financial records for the university. The office has had various designations since the inception of the institution. It appears that from 1893 until the early 1920s the secretary-treasurer of the board of regents handled financial affairs. In 1922 (all dates approximate) a bookkeeper was appointed. Scope and Content
This collection accumulated over time in various offices and repositories at the university. Primary among these were the library and the alumni office. Donations over the years, from alumni and community members, also increased the number of photographs in the collection. The collection is an eclectic one, ranging from early photos, such as that of the first graduating class in 1901, to contemporary photos of university activities.
