Abstract
This collection depicts major events in the history of Mexico, from Spanish contact with the indigenous peoples to political events of the early 20th Century. Images dealing with Spanish missionization of the indigenous population, the Mexican War of Independence, the Mexican American War, and the Mexican Revolution are included. The relationship between the United States and Mexico is also a major theme addressed in a number of images.

Collection consists of posters, flyers, prints, serials, filmstrip illustrations, and ephemera (calendars and notecards) ranging in date from 1935-1990. Subjects predominately focus on international issues of the 1940s-1960s, including fascism and national socialism, in addition to Mexican topics, such as agriculture, labor issues, and the nationalization of the petroleum industry.
