Content Description
The Edmundo Delgado Collection includes books, published and unpublished manuscripts, newspaper articles, facsimiles of original colonial documents, original colonial and territorial documents, photos, art objects, radio broadcasts, and video documentation. With approximately 200 titles, the book collection focuses on New Mexico history and the southwest. The collection contains genealogical research on New Mexico families in particular the Delgado and Espinosa families and excellent materials on witchcraft in New Mexico produced during the WPA era. The many important examples of historical documents represent the colonial, Mexican, Territorial and Statehood periods of New Mexico history. The manuscripts contain information on historical monuments and sites and on important cultural events ranging from the Santa Fe Fiesta and the De Vargas pageantry to New Mexican cooking.
