Organization History

The earliest reference to the Arroyo Chamisa and Sol y Lomas Neighborhood Association in the collection is 1983. How many years it was in existence before that is unknown at this time. Its purpose was to represent the residents of its area on all matters affecting the area. The area for which the association serves is bordered by St. Michaels Drive to the north, Old Pecos Trail to the east, Rodeo Drive to the south, and St. Francis Drive to the west. It encompasses the Arroyo Chamisa neighborhood and the Sol y Lomas neighborhood. The De Vargas Heights East and South subdivisions and Quail Run are included even though they are east of Old Pecos Trail.
